Claire van Helvoort

This week’s journal, Claire van Helvoort – Consultant

Every week a board member or consultant will talk you through a small biography, and more importantly, a little insight into their life, what parts of their agenda are devoted to time, and what parts aren’t.

This week it’s my turn, and I’ll give you some insights into my life and my role as a consultant of TIME. But first, let me quickly introduce myself!

My name is Claire, I am 23 years old and currently a MSc student in Marketing Management. I was born in Geertruidenberg, but when I was 18 I moved away from home to study in Wageningen, a small but very nice student city. I studied there for four years and did a BSc in Business and Consumer studies. In my third year of studying, I went on exchange to Prague, where I followed courses in marketing and finance, which sparked my interest in marketing. The year after I did a board year, where I was the Marketing Manager. After these two experiences I was certain I wanted to pursue my Msc in marketing!

So last year, I moved to Tilburg to do just that, and got to know TIME. After my exchange, I was certain I wanted to have an international adventure in my MSc as well. TIME sounded like the perfect opportunity for me to gain more knowledge about foreign businesses, as well as getting more experienced in conducting in depth marketing research. Two things I really liked, combined into one! Next to my studies and TIME, I love to travel, go the gym or play squash and hang out with friends.

I just joined TIME but am already busy with conducting the desk research, which is a deep dive into the company and the Spanish and Portuguese market, and making preparations for the field research which will take place in less than two months already! I am looking forward to November, when we will go to Madrid, Barcelona and Porto with the whole team.

If you have any questions about being a consultant for TIME or just general question about our organization, you could always send me a message on LinkedIn!

Until next TIME!
