Eline Bogaert

This week’s journal, Eline Bogaert – Consultant

Every week a board member or consultant will talk you through a small biography, and more importantly, a little insight into their life, what parts of their agenda are devoted to time, and what parts aren’t.

This week it’s my turn, and I’ll give you some insights into my life and my role as a consultant of TIME. But first, let me quickly introduce myself!

My name is Eline Bogaert and I am a 22-year old student in the Msc Marketing Analytics. I am born and raised in Tilburg where I still live. Before my master, I did a bachelor in Communication and information sciences at Tilburg University with a specialisation in Business communication & digital media. However, already in my second year of the bachelor I discovered my passion was more with statistics and data analysis. In 2019, I worked as an intern in the analytics team at market research company IRi to further explore the field of data analysis which made me even more enthusiastic. During this internship I also got a sneak peak into the world of consultancy which also sparked my interest.

Given these interests, the role as a consultant at TIME is a perfect fit for me. I believe it is a unique experience to carry out the whole project from acquisition until end presentation. Due to this approach, TIME also helps me to find out what role in consultancy I like the most since these different phases of the project are usually divided into multiple functions at companies. Next to my studies and TIME, I work as a host at the theatre in Tilburg, and I have multiple hobbies like running, cycling, dancing, singing, traveling and doing fun things with friends.

As my fellow consultants already described in earlier blogs, we are currently working on the acquisition of companies. This was a totally new experience for me in which I got to develop myself over the past months. I already learned a lot on how to present our project and how to communicate the added value of the project towards companies. Furthermore, it amazes me how many different sectors and business there are; some of which I never heard. It is interesting to learn more about those and funny how fast you get acquainted with a topic. For example, you can ask me anything about purple sprouting broccoli of which I did not know the existence some months ago… 😉

In the coming months we will be conducting the desk research which entails diving further into a company, the market and all other related topics, and preparing the field research in November. In November, we will be present in Barcelona, Madrid and Porto where we conduct the field research in the form of business meetings or distributing surveys for example. I am looking forward to the coming phases of the project with our team!

If you have any questions about being a consultant for TIME or just general question about our organization, you could always send me a message on LinkedIn!

Until next TIME!
